​​Coaches' Code of Conduct

​

Coaches have the responsibility to model good behavior, promote sportsmanship, and foster an environment conducive to learning and growth.

​

  • Respect: Treat all athletes, parents, officials, and colleagues with respect, fairness, and courtesy.

  • Integrity: Uphold the highest standards of personal integrity both on and off the field. Avoid any conduct that would bring disrepute to the team, school, or program.

  • Leadership: Lead by example, demonstrating commitment, discipline, and professionalism in all activities.

  • Safety: Prioritize the safety and well-being of all participants by ensuring that all practices, games, and activities are conducted safely and responsibly.

  • Encouragement: Focus on developing athletes' skills, both on the field and as individuals. Provide positive feedback and constructive criticism.

  • Fair Play: Promote fair play and respect the rules of the game. Ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to participate and grow.

Parents' Code of Conduct

​

Parents play an important role in creating a positive atmosphere and supporting their child's growth in sports or education.

​

  • Support: Offer encouragement and support, while respecting the coach's role in directing the team. Focus on the effort and improvement rather than just outcomes.

  • Respect: Treat coaches, officials, athletes, and other parents with respect, both in person and online.

  • Sportsmanship: Demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times. Avoid negative or overly critical comments towards players, coaches, officials, and other parents.

  • Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with the coach, and address any concerns in a respectful and constructive manner.

  • Positive Environment: Ensure that your behavior contributes to a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants. Be mindful of your words and actions during games and events.

  • Model Behavior: Be a positive role model for your child by displaying good behavior and respect for others in all situations.

Students' Code of Conduct​

​

Students should always strive to behave in a manner that promotes teamwork, discipline, and respect for others.

​

  • Respect: Treat teammates, coaches, opponents, and officials with respect. Show kindness, and value the contributions of others.

  • Commitment: Attend practices and games regularly, and give your best effort in all activities. Commit to improving your skills and learning from experiences.

  • Sportsmanship: Win with humility and lose with grace. Always encourage your teammates and offer congratulations to the opposition.

  • Responsibility: Take responsibility for your actions, both on and off the field. Follow the rules and guidelines set by your coach, school, or team.

  • Teamwork: Support your teammates and work together towards common goals. Collaboration and communication are key to success.

  • Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive attitude, even when faced with challenges. Overcome adversity with resilience and a willingness to learn.

 

By adhering to this SKAIS Code of Conduct, everyone—coaches, parents, and students—can work together to create a supportive and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.
